A book of correspondence between Rachel Carson and her close friend, Dorothy Freeman, gave insight into Carson’s convictions, and feelings. Host Steve Curwood spoke with the editor of “Always, Rachel”, Dorothy Freeman’s granddaughter Martha, about the genesis of “Silent Spring”.
