Gay Republican Campaigns in Massachusetts Congressional Race

The Takeaway

Since high school, Richard Tisei knew he wanted to become a politician. At age 22, he became the youngest Republican ever elected to Massachusetts, winning a seat as a state senator. As a state legislator, he went on to win 13 elections in a row.
