Relations between two of America’s most important Middle East allies are imploding. Turkey says it is expelling Israel’s ambassador and threatening to cut off military and economic ties with the Israelis. The move follows a United Nations report on the 2010 Gaza flotilla incident, in which Israeli commandos killed nine Turkish activists trying to break Israel’s blockade of the Palestinian territory.
