Life in the capital, Tunis, was disrupted by gun battles between the Tunisian army and militia still loyal to Ben Ali. However, daily life is now returning to normal. Renee Rutta is a New Yorker who has been living in Tunis with her family for almost a year. She says she will stay as long as she feels safe.
