Our host Steve Curwood has been on assignment in Bonn, Germany, covering the latest round of negotiations on the Kyoto Protocol. That’s the international agreement designed to combat global warming. The pact requires the industrialized nations of the world to reduce their emissions of greenhouse gases by about five percent over the next decade or so. In Bonn, some observers say the United States is trying to use the rule- making process to soften the impact of the Kyoto agreement. Here’s Steve’s report.
