Protests over French pension reform continue

After 140 hours of debate the French Senate finally approved a bill on Friday to raise the national retirement age from 60 to 62. President Nicolas Sarkozy says the measure is designed to save the state pension system. Unions and students say the reform is unfair, and have been protesting. Most of the rallies have been peaceful, but on Friday clashes broke out at an oil refinery blockaded by workers for the past 10 days. The World’s Gerry Hadden has the story.
