Producer Dick Brooks reports from the southern shores of Lake Superior on the controversial Copper Range mine and smelter. The company is the largest private employer on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, but it’s also the largest emitter of toxic heavy metals in the Lake Superior basin. The company has been sued for clean air violations by the EPA, the states of Michigan and Wisconsin and the National Wildlife Federation.
