Conservationists and Gulf Coast officials say the effects of the BP oil disaster will be widespread and long lasting, and it’s time to start thinking about a large-scale, long-term response. They say the best way to help the fragile marshes recover from the oil is an ambitious plan to restore the disappearing wetlands of the Mississippi Delta.
