Last week, as Geo Quiz fans may recall, we paid a visit to Mt Vesuvius in Italy. That’s where some of the world’s elite cyclists were competing in the Giro d’Italia. Today we’re looking for a a place where bicycles are everywhere. 12, 000 bicyclists are expected to ride thru a Canadian city tonight in an event called Tour la Nuit. But it’s not a competition, rather it’s just a fun way to explore Canada’s second largest city. This was a French outpost back in the 18th century, a place a bustling with fur traders and other explorers of the northern forests.
The modern city is located on an island right where the Saint Lawrence and Ottawa Rivers meet.
