President Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel met in Washington on Friday to discuss peace, but their differences remain stark. President Obama did not back down from his statement that Israel’s withdrawal to its 1967 borders should be starting point for a peace deal with the Palestinians. Netanyahu shot back, saying that withdrawal to the borders that prevailed ahead of the 1967 Arab-Israeli war would make the country indefensible. Martin Indyk, former U.S. Ambassador to Israel and director of Foreign Policy at the Brookings Institute, joins us to discuss the hurdles to peace in that region of the Middle East.
