Summer run of Hollywood blockbuster bumbles raises questions of movie model
Some 80 percent of Hollywood’s bottom line now comes from overseas, which means movie production companies are spending a lot of time developing big hits that will work overseas. But many of these hits, especially this summer, have stumbled here and ultimately stumbled overseas, raising questions about the current Hollywood model.
