Target has pulled this greeting card mocking the late Whitney Houston’s turbulent relationship with ex-husband Bobby Brown.
Target has pulled a greeting card poking fun at late singer Whitney Houston’s relationship with bad boy singer Bobby Brown.
The card read: "Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston. That's all I'm going to say," ABC News reported.
The text refers to Houston's rocky relationship with Brown, her ex-husband who has been blamed by some for her reported drug use, according to The Associated Press.

According to a Target representative, the card was on shelves before Houston's Feb. 11 death, but the company has decided to pull it from the inventory.
"As soon as this was brought to our attention, we began the process of removing the card from all applicable stores," the spokesperson said in a statement as reported by the Vancouver Sun.
A photo of the card, which was posted to the social news site Reddit.com, infuriated Houston's devoted fans, who flocked to Twitter and fan messages boards in protest, ABC News reported.

The six-time Grammy winner was married to Brown from 1992 to 2006. Many cited their turbulent relationship as a force behind her professional fall from grace and descent into drug addiction. The couple had one daughter together, Bobbi Kristina, born in 1993.
Houston, 48, was found dead hours before she was to attend a pre-Grammy Awards party. No cause of death has been determined, the AP reported.
