A Dallas business called the "Anger Room" now offers customers space to unleash their frustations and pent up stress by smashing, kicking, and throwing office equipment and household items in an enclosed area.
Creator and former call center employee, Donna Alexander, told NBC 5 Dallas-Forth Worth that the idea comes from first-hand experience with needing to blow off work stress during long days talking to disgruntled customers.
“Any type of call-centre situation, you can get verbal lashing," she said. “You can get called stupid; it’s all your fault.”
Alexander started the business in her garage four years ago but recently moved it to a North Dallas storefront.
According to the Globe and Mail, she reportedly had more than 300 customers so far, representing a range of backgrounds, from restaurant employees to psychiatrists.
Yet, reported CBC, hospitality workers are among the company's most frequent users.
According to WHEC News 10, a visit to the anger room costs between $25 and $75 but for an extra charge, the owners can make the Anger Room resemble the customer's workplace.
