Australia: Father posts on Facebook before killing daughter

An Australian man posted on Facebook that he was "bout to kill ma kid" minutes before repeatedly stabbing his two-year-old daughter and leaving her to die, court papers revealed Wednesday.

Ramazan "Ramzy" Acar, 24, who admitted in Melbourne Magistrates Court to murdering his daughter Yazmina last November, also sent a text message to the toddler's mother which read "It's ova I did it," the Herald Sun reports.

Court documents showed that Acar's Facebook post also described the killing as "pay bk (back)" for the girl's mother, his former partner Rachelle D'Argent.

The court was told that on the day of the murder, Acar arrived at D'Argent's house and she reluctantly let him take Yasmina — or "Mimi" — to a nearby shop for chocolate. He never returned, stabbing the girl in the chest and stomach, and leaving her to die a prolonged death in woodland in northwest Melbourne, according to Agence France Press.

In phone calls and text messages sent after taking Yazmina, Acar told D'Argent she would not get Yazmina back and asked whether he should kill the girl in a car crash or stab her.

"How does it feel to not have your child when I did not have mine for three months?" he told her, the Australian Associated Press reports. "I loved you Rachelle and look what you've made me do," he reportedly said.

Acar also reportedly told police he wanted to kill himself as well but "did not have the balls."

D'Argent was in court with a large group of supporters during the brief hearing; one of the group told Acar to "rot in hell''.

He was ordered to face the Victorian Supreme Court later this month for further hearings
