Soulja Boy, the hip-hop star, is facing drug and weapons charges after police stopped his rental car in west Georgia and found marijuana.
Police reportedly stopped the rented Cadillac Escalade early Tuesday morning because a light was not working, and officers found marijuana, pistols and cash inside, Reuters reports.
Soulja Boy, 21, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, and four crew members were pulled over in Temple on Interstate 20 near the Alabama line.
The Associated Press quoted Temple Police Chief Tim Shaw as saying all five occupants of the car were very cordial.
The rapper was booked into the Carroll County Jail on charges of marijuana and firearms possession, the AP reports. His bond was set at $10,000.
