Son of Libya's Muammar Gaddafi, Seif al-Islam, vowed Wednesday to fight until death and insisted his father is fine. He said forces loyal to Gaddafi will not surrender.
"We are going to die in our land," Seif al-Islam said in a broadcasted audio statement, as reported by the Associated Press. "No one is going to surrender."
The son's location was not known.

Libyan rebel forces, who have taken control over most of the country as well as the capital, Tripoli, told Gaddafi loyalists they had until Saturday to surrender towns under their control. The rebels were moving to take control of Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte.
Seif al-Islam, the most prominent of Gaddafi's sons, promised Wednesday that he, his family and supporters will prove victorious.
"The resistance continues and victory is near," he said, as reported by BBC.
The audio statement came minutes after a voice claiming to be Seif al-Islam's brother, al-Saadi, announced he was ready to mediate talks with the rebels. The rebels who are now serving as interim leaders have said they are not willing to negotiate.
Seif al-Islam dismissed his brother's statement.
"This means nothing," he said.
Meanwhile, Libya's transitional government said its forces had cornered Gaddafi in Bani Walid, about 150 miles from Tripoli, and were pressuring him to give up, the New York Times reports.
“Since today we have learned that he is staying in Bani Walid,” Ghoga said. “We are waiting to give him a chance to surrender.”
