“Lady doctor” delivers baby on Air India flight

A "lady doctor" has delivered a baby girl on an Air India plane bound for Toronto, the Indian news media reports.
Kuljeet Kaur from Amritsar gave birth 34,000 feet over Kazakhstan on Saturday without disrupting the flight, the Press Trust of India reports.
Kaur, who was eight months pregnant, boarded the Air India flight with her husband at IGI airport.
The flight took off at around 1:45 a.m. and at around 3.30 am, Kaur went into labor, an Air India official said, PTI reports, adding that:
A lady doctor traveling on the plane assisted the woman in the delivery.
"A normal delivery took place and the health parameters of both the mother and the baby girl were normal. So, the pilot decided to continue the flight which will land at Toronto later in the day," the official reportedly said.
