iPhone 4S sales break records
Apple reported on Monday that iPhone 4S sales topped 4 million in its first three days, according to PC Magazine.
According to the magazine, Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, said the iPhone 4S sales are breaking records:
iPhone 4S is off to a great start with more than four million sold in its first weekend — the most ever for a phone and more than double the iPhone 4 launch during its first three days. iPhone 4S is a hit with customers around the world, and together with iOS 5 and iCloud, is the best iPhone ever.
Sales in stores began on Friday, October 14 in Japan, Australia, France, the UK, Germany, Canada and the United States, reports Reuters.
The iPhone 4S, which was first previewed by new Apple CEO Tim Cook on October 4, has the same exterior design as its predecessor, but has a faster processor, higher resolution camera, and new capabilities, like the personal assistant Siri, according to MarketWatch.

In related news, the technology giant Samsung is seeking to ban sales of the iPhone 4S in Australia and Japan, in the ongoing legal battle over touch-screen technology, reports The Australian. The Korean company has brought suits against Apple in Britian, the US, Japan, South Korea and Europe.
