Paul McCartney, the former Beatle, has married New York heiress Nancy Shevell in civil marriage ceremony London on Sunday.
Shevell, 51, heir to haulage fortune, is McCartney's third wife after Linda McCartney died in 1998 and he split acrimoniously from second wife Heather Mills in 2008.
The couple met in the Hamptons in Long Island shortly after the singer’s divorce from Mills, the AP reports.
The newlyweds blew kisses to the hundreds of fans and paparazzi waiting on the steps of the Old Marylebone Town Hall, where McCartney married Eastman in 1969, Reuters reports.
According to Reuters:
After the ceremony, which lasted just over an hour, the newlyweds returned to McCartney's home in St. John's Wood for an evening reception.
The property in the upmarket area of north London is just a few streets away from the Abbey Road Studios where the Beatles recorded many of their most famous songs.
