Ethiopia: Bono’s ONE revisits Ethiopia’s 1984 famine

In 1984 photojournalist Mo Amin filmed footage of a famine in Ethiopia that defined the way the world sees and understands humanitarian catastrophes.

Now his son Salim, has returned to Ethiopia for ONE, the advocacy group set-up by U2 frontman Bono.

In this film Salim Amin shows that in the midst of the current crisis in the Horn of Africa and famine in Somalia, aid can work and famine can be averted even if drought cannot.

Here’s the film that Salim Amin shot.
