The White House announced Tuesday that Vice President Joe Biden is in Delaware this week preparing for the wedding of his daughter Ashley, Reuters reported.
The wedding reception will take place at his home in Wilmington on Saturday.
"As any father would, he takes this matter very seriously and looks forward to it with great happiness for his daughter and his future son-in-law," White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters. "And I have no details on the dress."

Some conservative commentators, noticing Biden's weeklong absence from the public schedule, speculated it was perhaps a political move by President Obama to distance himself from the Vice President, USA TODAY reported.
Ashley, 30 will marry her fiancé, Howard Krein, a Philadelphia-based otolaryngologist and plastic surgeon, according to USA TODAY.
She is Biden's only child with his current wife Jill.
On Friday, Biden spoke about losing his first wife and daughter in a 1972 car accident. He told families of fallen soldiers in Virginia, he understood why some people contemplate suicide. But he said that in time the ache becomes more controllable and credited his turnabout to marrying his current wife.
