Incredible footage has been of a tow truck and the lorry it is towing — with the driver still inside — falling off a snow-covered cliff in central Norway has been posted on YouTube.

According to police quoted by the Associated Press, a Lithuanian lorry driver suffered broken bones after his vehicle tumbled 200 feet off a mountain pass in Leirfjord, Nordland county, about 435 miles north of Oslo, dragging the rescue vehicle with it.

He was taken to hospital and was in stable condition, according to the BBC.

The video shows the tow-truck driver jumping out just in time. The video was taken from a car trailing the convoy.

Police spokesman Geir Riise reportedly said the lorry didn’t have the right tires, causing it to slip sideways on the icy road and tip over the guard rail.
