TJ Jackson, Tito's son, has been appointed temporary guardian of the late Michael Jackson's three children.

The judge temporarily suspended Katherine Jackson as guardian because she is in Arizona and hadn't spoken with them in several days, The Associated Press reported.

TJ Jackson told the court he spoke with his grandmother this week and said her voice sounded strange and believed she was speaking in code.

"I've never heard my grandmother talk like that." he said, according to TMZ. "She wasn't sharp. The pauses, choice of vocabulary … she has not used certain phrases like that before."

The appointment comes after days of turmoil among the Jackson family. A relative reported Katherine Jackson missing Saturday night before she was located safely with other family members in Arizona, and now security camera footage has surfaced of Janet Jackson apparently trying to take a cellphone away from Paris Jackson at the children's home.

She scolded her niece for using her phone to write about family issues on Twitter, three sources told CNN.

Sheriff deputies broke up a scuffle minutes later involving Randy and Jermaine Jackson and their cousin Trent Jackson.
