Real-life Grinch arrested in Canada after telling children Santa Claus doesn’t exist
Smart phone apps now allow parents to call their kids posing as Santa in order to discipline them.
It seems the Grinch really does exist, at least in Canada.
A 24-year-old man was arrested in the Canadian town of Kingston last week after he told children Santa wasn’t real, ABC News reported today.
The unidentified man spoiled the Christmas cheer for an unknown number of children during the town’s annual Santa Claus parade.
The National Post reported that the real-life Grinch was charged with causing a disturbance by being drunk and breach of probation.
But “unfortunately” there was no charge for crushing children’s dreams, Koopman told the Post.
“It was pretty despicable that someone, during this time of the year, would tell kids Santa isn’t real — which of course we would argue,” Koopman told the Toronto Star.
