Randy Quaid rejected by Canada after escaping vandalism charge
Canadian immigration officials deny actor Randy Quaid’s request to stay permanently in the country.
Randy Quaid has been turned down by Canada for permanent resident status.
The actor and his wife fled to Canada in 2010 after being arrested for causing $5000 damage of a home they rented in Santa Barbara.
Quaid and his wife have sought to stay in Canada, claiming that they are being hunted by "Hollywood star-whackers," reported the Washington Post.
They filed for protection under the Canadian Immigration and Refugee Protection Act after residing in Vancouver.

He says that he's being hunted by the same people who killed Heath Ledger and David Carradine.
A Canadian government official confirmed the news on Sunday, reported the Associated Press.
Randy Quaid is the older Brother of actor Dennis Quaid.
Quaid won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of Lyndon Johnson in NBC's LBJ: The Early Years.
He is, however, best known for his roles in National Lampoon's vacation movies.
Quaid is originally from Houston, Texas.
