Care to take a pregnancy test before you down those Jagerbombs?

A bar in the city of Mankato, MN, has installed a pregnancy test dispenser in the women's restroom to help prevent fetal alcohol syndrome.

Pub 500 owner Tom Fredrik said that he got the idea from a customer who suggested he install the dispenser, according to Kare-11.

The tests are actually part of a plan by a local non-profit, Healthy Brains for Children, that hopes to spread the idea to other bars in Minnesota to help prevent fetal alcohol in infants.

According to group founder Jody Crowe, the dispensers would also allow women to buy the test in a private place free from prying eyes.

"In a small community, purchasing a pregnancy test can be an embarrassing event and expose the woman to the gossip of the town," said Crowe, reported the Star Tribune.

Customers seemed to agree with the move, according to the Consumerist.

"If you can buy condoms and whatnot at a bar, it's logical to buy a pregnancy test. It's less embarrassing than going to the drug store. It's discreet, readily available, inexpensive," said one women at the bar, the website reported.

The vending machine was announced the same day as a new study showing that one in 13 women drink while pregnant.

The study found that this was particularly true in older women.
