Pippa Middleton plans move to New York after Paris gun fiasco

Pippa Middleton, Duchess Kate Middleton's sister, is planning a move to New York in preparation for the launch of her party-planning book "Celebrate," the Daily Beast reported.

Pippa currently resides in London, but has been keeping a low profile since "gungate," when she was photographed in Paris riding in the passenger seat of a convertible as the driver aimed a gun at photographers, entertainment news website Pop2it reported.

The incident has reportedly dashed Middleton's hopes of moving to Paris, and has the 28-year-old party planner looking for a change of scene.

"Pippa had been considering a move to Paris. But now that's off the list she has been investigating her options in America," a source told Britain's Grazia magazine magazine, according to the New York Post. "She would love to move to New York as she'll be spending time there when her book launches in the autumn."

The royal sister, whose much-awaited book "Celebrate" hits stores in October, is hoping to get a break from the constant stream of photographers that follow her around London. However, Middleton is not likely to shake the paparazzi so fast, according to US Weekly's editor Albert Lee.

"If she's trying to get away from the press, she's coming to the wrong city," Lee told Metro US. "Pippa just walking down the street in a fashionable dress, people are interested. The second she lands, I'm sure we'll be assigning reporters to cover her."
