Peanut butter recall expands after salmonella outbreak at Trader Joe’s
Trader Joe’s has removed their Valencia Creamy Salted Peanut Butter from store shelves after the product was linked with an outbreak of Salmonella.
More bad news for peanut butter lovers.
Sunland Inc. is recalling 76 types of peanut butter and almond butter after a salmonella outbreak was traced back to one of its peanut butter's at Trader Joe's groceries this weekend, the Associated Press reported.

Trader Joe's recalled the Creamy Salted Valencia Peanut Butter from stores Saturday after the Food and Drug Administration and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention linked it to illnesses among 29 people in 18 states, reports NBC News.
A company spokeswoman said they recalled all the other products, under various names, because they were manufactured with the same equipment as Trader Joe's, according to the AP.
Salmonella can cause diarrhea, fever and cramps and is especially dangerous for children and the elderly, as GlobalPost reported. Government health officials are warning those two groups to stop eating peanut butter.
