Nearly two-dozen Canadian tourists were injured when their chartered bus ran off the road in Wayne, New Jersey early this morning.
A church group hired the bus that carried 60 people when it slid into the ditch off a highway turnpike, The Associated Press reported.
The bus was headed to New York City to attend a Seventh Day Adventist event, shop and visit family.
Eight of the passengers are in critical condition, the AP reported.
Two of the injured are said to be children.
The driver, who injured his arm, told police someone cut him off, causing the crash.

“It was terrifying,” 66-year-old Toronto native Norma Cumberbatch told The Star-Ledger newspaper.
"We were driving along and the next thing I know, we’re in a ditch."
A representative of the tour company – AVM Max 2000 Charter Services Inc. – told the Star-Ledger that the driver had a clean record.
The incident happened about 7:30 am as the bus traveled east, Northjersey.com reported.
Many of those on board were from Toronto’s large Caribbean community headed south for the Canadian Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
