Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly debate next month

GlobalPost

Last night Fox News patriarch Bill O'Reilly, host of the conservative talk show, "The O'Reilly Factor," announced that he and Jon Stewart, host of Comedy Central's news satire program, "The Daily Show," will debate each other in Washington, DC, on Oct. 6.

“I feel so strongly about this that I’m teaming up with my pal Jon Stewart to do a 90-minute debate on those and other vital issues,” O’Reilly said.

It's called "The Rumble in the Air-Conditioned Auditorium."

You can buy tickets at lisner.org or pay $4.95 to live stream the event.

Stewart said in a statement, “I’m excited to debate Mr. O’Reilly. I believe this will be a very enjoyable night for fans of our programs, political junkies, partisans and people who just enjoy yelling.”

O’Reilly said, “I had no idea my agent signed me up for this. How can I get out of it?”

E. D. Hill, who has worked as a news anchor for Fox News and CNN, will moderate the debate.

Here's the promo, followed by messages from O'Reilly and Stewart.
