The daughter Lisha, husband Ben Barboza and son Junal of nurse Jacinta Saldanha arrive at the Houses of Parliament ahead of a meeting with MP Keith Vaz on December 10, 2012 in London, England. Jacintha Saldanha was one of two hospital staff who were responsible for inadvertently revealing details of the pregnant duchess’s medical condition to two Australian DJs, and was subsequently found dead.
The husbnd of nurse Jacintha Saldanha who killed herself following a radio prank call has told of his devastation and anger.
The London Mirror reported Benedict Barboza is furious with the Australian DJs, Mel Greig and Michael Christian, whose call duped his wife, 46.
Three days after the incident, Saldanha was found dead in her London apartment.
Barboza was also critical of hospital chiefs for their handling of the incident last week.
Close friend Stephen Almeida told the newspaper: “He’s very angry about all the proceedings, not only about the DJs but all the handling of the situation in the hospital.
"He feels very angry about the hospital management. He’s been full of stress about the whole thing. It’s not a very nice time.”
Hospital management has previously stated it did not discipline Saldanha over the incident, and the royal family did not lodge a complaint.
Saldanha's brother Naveen believed that his sister was likely "devastated" over having publicly betrayed the privacy of the Duchess of Cambridge.
"She would have felt much shame about the incident … [She] was a proper and righteous person," Naveen told Daily Mail.
People Magazine reported Mr Barboza wrote on Facebook on Saturday: “I am devastated with the tragic loss of my beloved wife Jacintha in tragic circumstances.”
He said she would be laid to rest in Shirva, the town in southern India where she was born.
