German man finds his car 2 years later after forgetting where he parked

BERLIN, Germany – Talk about a hangover from hell.

A man in southern Germany forget where he parked his car after a heavy night of drinking in December 2010.

After searching in vain for his car the next morning – likely with a serious hangover – he gave up and reported it missing to the Munich police.

Two years went by and no trace of the car was found.

The car was finally discovered last month by police who noticed its inspection stickers were out of date.

The car was about two miles from his original spot – or so he thinks, said Reuters.

"The weird thing is that it turned up so far away, although the owner was pretty sure of where he had left it," said police spokesman Alexander Lorenz, according to The Province.

The 33-year-old handyman had about 40,000 euros worth of power tools in his trunk.

The tools were apparently still there.
