German magazine, Der Spiegel, declares George H. W. Bush dead

Germany's top magazine Der Spiegel accidentally published an obituary for former US President George H.W. Bush.

The obituary showed up on Sunday and described Bush as "colorless" but whose image improved after his son's tenure as president.

The article was entitled "The Better Bush," said the Weekly Standard.

It was up online for a view minutes before it was spotted and quickly removed, said the Associated Press.

The 88-year-old former President was hospitalized on November 23 for bronchitis.

He was recently moved to intensive care at the Houston hospital after he developed a fever.

Yesterday, he was moved back to a regular hospital room after his condition appeared to be improving.
