Is there anything the former Kate Middleton doesn’t look good doing?

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, returned to her old school today to meet students and play some field hockey – in three-inch heeled boots.

“It is such a treat to be back here at St. Andrew’s,” she told pupils. “I absolutely loved my time here. They were some of my happiest years, which makes it so incredibly exciting to be back here. … In fact, when I had to leave, I told my mother I was going to go back as a teacher.”

Kate met with students and teachers and helped open a new playing field.

Teachers remember the Duchess as “very hard working, very polite and friendly,” deputy headmaster Richard Hudson told BBC.

She was also very “sporty,” he said.

“She held our record for the high jump … for about 20 years she’s had that,” he said.

The Duchess attended St. Andrew’s after her family returned to England from Jordan, USA Today reported.

She spent much of impressionable years there, from ages 4 to 13, leaving in 1995 to attend high school.

Old St. Andrew’s, a co-ed day and boarding school, is located in Berkshire about 50 miles west of London. Kate’s visit came on St. Andrew’s Day.

St. Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland.
