Costa Rica’s talking sloth a hit in US

Costa Rica's talking sloth has a lot of people talking.

"Hello Americas, I'm a sloth," begins the sloth in a video promoting Costa Rica as a tourist destination. "A sloth that lives in the happiest country in the world."

And so far, "Mr. Sloth" has been a hit, reports the Tico Times. More than 60,000 people have visited the tourism board's Facebook page in the six weeks since the campaign began.

CNN host Anderson Cooper even gave away a Costa Rican "Gift of Happiness" vacation on his news show.

Costa Rica is offering $1 million worth of vacation packages, called Gifts of Happiness, as part of the promotion.
