As the manhunt for Christopher Dorner widens, Charlie Sheen is urging the ex-LAPD officer to call him and "end this thing."
Sheen is one of many celebrities mentioned in the suspected cop killer's online manifesto.
On Saturday, the actor released a video pleading with Dorner to call him so they could talk things out.
"Christopher Dorner, this is Charlie Sheen. You mentioned me in your manifesto, so thank you for your kind words. I am urging you to call me. Let's figure out together how to end this thing. Call me, I look forward to talking with you," Sheen says in the video.
In the manifesto posted to his Facebook page, Dorner also promised "unconventional and asymmetrical warfare" against the LAPD over his firing in 2008, Yahoo! News reported.
He's been on the run for more than a week after a series of attacks in Southern California that left three people dead, including an LAPD officer.
The search has now moved to the San Bernadino Mountains northeast of LA, and the LAPD chief has ordered a review into the disciplinary case that led to Dorner's dismissal, The Associated Press reported.
Authorities later offered a $1 million reward for information that leads to Dorner's arrest, the AP said.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa made the announcement this afternoon at LAPD headquarters.
Police Chief Charlie Beck said the LAPD would reopen the case that led to Dorner's firing to reassure the public.
Beck issued a statement that said Dorner's allegations of racism inside the force are reminding people of the "ghosts of the LAPD's past."
"As hard as it has been to change the culture of the Los Angeles Police Department, it has been even more difficult to win and maintain the support of the public," the chief's statement reads. "Therefore, I feel we need to also publicly address Dorner's allegations regarding his termination of employment, and to do so I have directed our Professionals Standards Bureau and my Special Assistant for Constitutional Policing to completely review the Dorner complaint of 2007."
The force will re-examine evidence and re-interview witnesses, he said. They will also address issues Dorner raised in his manifesto.
"I do this not to appease a murderer. I do it to reassure the public that their police department is transparent and fair in all the things we do."
