Buenos Aires shop owners block off streets

Shop owners in Buenos Aires blocked a major intersection for the sixth straight working day to protest the presence of street peddlers in front of their stores.

The owners want the streets cleared of the peddlers, arguing they deprive them of business and make the area less safe, reported the Buenos Aires Herald.

The owners are blocked the intersection of Corrientes and Florida, a famous shopping street popular with tourists.
