Bali: No smoking in paradise

The surf will still roar and the booze will still flow in Bali, Indonesia's touristed resort island.

But holiday makers will find it tougher to catch a nicotine fix.

The island has banned smoking in most public spaces, according to BNO News.

That means hotels, restaurants, public vehicles and even bars.

Those caught smoking will face the new law's maximum penalty: six months in prison and a $5,500 fine, according to the Jakarta Post.

If you think that's bad, consider the penalties for smoking something stronger: decades in prison or, if you're caught with a large enough amount, death.
