Argentina proposes Falklands Islands logo for Olympics

Argentina is considering requiring that its athletes wear a logo saying "The Malvinas are Argentine" at the 2012 Olympics in London.
The image of the islands — which Argentina refers to as the Islas Malvinas, not the Falkland Islands — would also be emblazoned on all national team clothing, reports the Telegraph.
The bill is under consideration in the Argentine Congress, and would require the logo at all international sporting events.
The islands are under British rule, but Argentina regards them as stolen territory. Argentina invaded in 1982, but was soundly defeated.
Argentine President Cristina Kirchner insists the two countries should negotiate over the islands.
