Wildfire torches cabins in Tennessee

Thirty fire departments and the Tennessee Air National Guard are struggling to contain a wildfire, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported. The fire has destroyed 35 cabins in a resort community near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in eastern Tennessee. 

Pigeon Forge Fire Chief Tony Watsons said that crews have evacuated the area and that there are no reports of injuries, WBIR reported.

"Everybody that I know of has not been injured," Watson told WBIR. "This is by the luck of God and prayer that we've not been able to get that."

What started as a house fire has spread to more than 100 acres, leading Tennessee authorities to declare a state of emergency, CNN reported.

Coincidentally, there was also a brush fire this Saturday at Dolly Parton's Dollywood theme park in Tennessee, but firefighters have contained that blaze, CBS reported.
