Suspect in alleged HIV aggravated sex assault arrested in Edmonton
Canadian police arrested the daughter of a top-ranking RCMP officer this week. Lisa McKinnon faces charges of trafficking after police say she was arrested with crack and heroin.
A Canada-wide manhunt for a man who allegedly did not disclose his HIV-positive status before having unprotected sex with another man ended in his arrest Tuesday.
Rydel Golden McLenon, 27, was arrested in Edmonton Monday, a day after police issued the cross-country search. He will return to Toronto, where the alleged assault took place, to face one charge of aggravated sexual assault.
Under Canadian law, failing to disclose a positive status for STIs can be considered sexual assault.

Police say McLenon was taken into custody at an apartment on Edmonton's south side.
McLenon allegedly withheld that he has both HIV and Hepatitis C from another 27-year-old man before having unprotected sex with him on March 12. The victim is still waiting for HIV-test results, but Detective Darren Worth confirmed that he did contract "some of the diseases."
