Morgue fridge for sale on eBay

Looking for that special gift for the person who has everything?

You may find it on eBay, where a giant "used" but "fully operational" morgue refrigerator is being auctioned off by New York's Office of General Services.

That's right. A four-drawer fridge for the dead.

The Norlake Scientific 4 Drawer Morgue Refrigerator is from a Manhattan psychiatric hospital and had received 70 bids totaling more than $2,000 as of Monday night.

The auction goes until Thursday.

While it may sound like a hoax, but the Office of General Services told the New York Post it's anything but.

"Every once in a while, we get an unusual item — and this would be that," spokeswoman Heather Groll said.

There are some caveats.

The buyer must pick it up and dismantle the fridge themselves. They're also responsible for cleaning it (ew).

All major credit cards accepted.
