Men arrested in attempted Buckingham Palace break-in

London police have arrested two men suspected of trying to break into Buckingham Palace, although the Queen and her family were away and not at risk.
The incident took place Monday night, but was only revealed Saturday by Scotland Yard.

According to police, one of the men faces charges of burglary, trespass and criminal damage after he was caught scaling a fence at the palace.
The man was found "in an area currently open to the public during the day," the BBC reported.
A second man was arrested outside the Queen's home on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary.

Queen Elizabeth was at Balmoral Castle in Scotland at the time of the incident. No other members of the royal family were in Buckingham Palace at the time, a spokesperson told the CBC.
Still, the incident has raised questions about security at the royal residence.
Police inquiries were continuing, and a Metropolitan Police spokesman said security would be part of any review.
