This map shows what Europe will look like if every separatist movement gets its own country
Tomorrow's the big day! Scotland will host its independence referendum and schools around the world will learn whether they need to buy new globes for their classrooms. (And we just bought the new Crimea edition. Ugh.)
Scots aren't the only Europeans clamoring for independence. Did you know Greenland is still technically ruled by Denmark. Weird, right?

From Catalonia to Bavaria to Flanders to Wales — yes, the United Kingdom is getting seriously disunited — dozens of longstanding independence movements could look to build on Scotland's momentum and seriously shake up the European map.
The European Free Alliance, a group of "40 progressive nationalist, regionalist and aotonomous parties throughout the European Union," put together this map of what Europe would look like if its members became independent nations.
