Yes, the country that brought you KFC's Double Down and the Baconator burger has gone to new heights in fatty fare — slapping ground beef in a glazed donut bun and topping it, yes, with cheese.

The Krispy Kreme Sloppy Joe is the brainchild of Chef "Chicken" Charlie Boghosian, also known as California's "deep-fry king."

It's being sold by Chicken Charlie's at the San Diego County Fair.

According to The Consumerist, it's unclear whether it will ever be available in restaurants.

News of the meaty confectionary concoction comes days after National Doughnut Day and a week after Dunkin' Donuts unveiled its own artery-clogging disaster — a bacon doughnut sandwich.
