The House stenographer who took over the microphone and began shouting on the House floor Wednesday night says the "Holy Spirit" moved her to do it.

“For the past 2 and 1/2 weeks, the Holy Spirit has been waking me up in the middle of the night and preparing me (through my reluctance and doubt) to deliver a message in the House Chamber,” Dianne Reidy told Fox News’s Chad Pergram in a written statement Thursday. “That is what I did last night.”

The bizarre rant occurred as House members were preparing to vote on the Senate bill to end the government shutdown and lift the debt ceiling.

Video shows Reidy grabbing the microphone near the House speaker's chair and shouting before she is removed by security.

“He will not be mocked. He will not be mocked – don’t touch me – he will not be mocked,” she said. “The greatest deception here is this is not one nation under God. It never was… the Constitution would not have been written by the Freemasons. They go against God.”

Reidy screamed "You cannot serve two masters" as she was removed from the floor.

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, the presiding officer at the time, called it "heartbreaking," telling Fox News she is "normally a gentle soul."
