GlobalPost’s got a new look

Updated on

Things look a little different on GlobalPost today — the result of many months we've spent redesigning and improving our website.

What you see will depend on whether you're visiting us on a laptop, your smartphone, or your favorite tablet. That's because each layout is customized to make our site easy for you to use on every device.

Mobile readers, rejoice! Our new responsive design is made with you in mind, optimized for navigating on your phone. This means we've also retired our mobile app — simply visit globalpost.com to get the best user experience.

We've also updated our look and feel to make the stories you want a breeze to find. It all runs on a fast new platform that’s easier to read and has fewer ads. Here are some things to check out:

Find trending topics (our most timely and popular stories) from the top of our homepage on a desktop computer, or use the Menu icon (top left) to find them on any device. To browse by section, (Conflict, Tech, Science, Business, Health, etc.), use the Menu button as well.

Want to know what’s happening in the world right now? You'll find the breaking news scroll at the top of the homepage on a desktop computer. On your phone or tablet, you can find this by clicking on the clock icon (top right).

We may look a little different, but here's what hasn’t changed: all the important, thought-provoking, and award-winning international reporting you’ve come to expect from GlobalPost. No matter what device you're using, our correspondents around the globe will keep bringing you the kind of international reporting you won’t find anywhere else. Now, that’s good news.

In coming months, we'll unveil new features. Please watch for those and in the meantime, share your thoughts on the new site with us at editors@globalpost.com or on Twitter @GlobalPost.
