A man died Monday night after a freak fall at Atlanta's Turner Field baseball park.

The unidentified man tumbled about 65 feet from a platform into a private parking lot at about 8:30 p.m. during the Braves game against the Philadelphia Phillies, and died from his injuries at a local hospital, WXIA reported.

No word yet on what caused the fall.

Homicide investigators remained at the stadium late Monday night investigating the incident, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The start of Monday's night game was delayed due to rain.

The Atlanta Police Department released the following statement:

"There was an accident earlier tonight at Turner Field with a spectator falling from the upper level. The spectator has been transported to the hospital. The Atlanta Police Department are investigating and we refer all media inquiries to them at this time."
