What’s your favorite place for summer swimming?

The World
Slocan Lake, British Columbia, Canada

Just the thought of summer brings a smile to my face after our long, blizzard filled winter here in Boston. For me, the idea of long summer days under a big warm sun conjures one thing: swimming.

I'm originally from Michigan. Now, as a Bostonian, I'm getting use to the ocean way of things. But, the blond, sandy beaches of South Haven were where I spent many summer hours growing up.

And, I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking about dreamy swimming holes. So, let us know.

Where's your favorite summer swimming location around the world? We want to know where do you practice your cannonballs and lay around soaking in all that summer has to offer.

Send me an email with a picture and short description of your favorite summer swimming location and I'll add it here to our collection. (steven.davy[AT]bbc.co.uk) Or, tweet at me with the hashtag #SummerSwimming

In the meantime, here's a collection of amazing looking summer swimming spots.
