Buford, Wyoming Renames Itself: ‘Delicious Filter Coffee Town’

Interstate 80 is your first clue for today’s Geo Quiz.
It runs between Teaneck, New Jersey and San Francisco…roughly following the route of the first transcontinental railroad across the US.
And if you were to travel on I-80 through southeastern Wyoming, you’d pass through the town we’re looking for.
It’s a tiny 10-acre town with a population of just one.
But the Vietnamese businessman who bought the place last year has big plans for it.
He hopes to turn it into the headquarters for his global coffee franchise, selling Vietnamese-style coffee. That’s typically dark, strong coffee served with sweet condensed milk, sometimes poured over ice.
So can you come up with this Wyoming town’s new name?
Last year this tiny Wyoming town was sold at a public auction auction for $900,000 to a Vietnamese businessman named Pham Dinh Nguyen.
His latest plan calls for turning the tiny town into a hub for importing and selling delicious Vietnamese coffee, and for renaming Buford as Buford PhinDeli –which roughly translates as “Buford Delicious Filter Coffee Town.”
Pham hopes the town will become famous.
